Long story short.... I've been hashing the two tractors over far toooo long . One of the things that bothered me on the 2305 was the lighter rated axles. According to the JD site, the 2305 axle specs are rated at approx 1/2 the capacity of the 2210. Sooo, I picked up the phone today and talked with a JD rep. After finally convincing them that the new specs didn't make sense when comparing to the 2305's predecessor... They cross referenced part #'s as I originally asked them to do. And.... part #'s are identical on the 2 tractors as I hoped & suspected. I'm not sure why they would change the axle ratings but apparently that is what they've done. Maybe to make the larger tractors appear to be that much heavier duty for potential buyes???? Don't know. However it's somewhat of a relief to find that they didn't lighted up the axles. Outwardly the tractors look similar... but you never know what's inside. I may check back with another rep to confirm this... Thought this was interesting info to share...

There is certainly merit to investigating these unknowns, but Deere does get sloppy on "cut/paste" materials and you see it in a number of models. I would not view the two machines you are comparing to be any different from one another. ....

jd2210 is right about that. JD spec sheets often seem to contain errors. Nobody there seems to double check them for accuracy. ....

Point of fact of vague information. I have on desk the brochures (the pretty color ones you get at the dealership) on the 2305 and the 2320/2520 share the same brochure. If you look at the loader and regardless of model (2305...252) it states "Up to 816 lbs of lift capacity. QuickPark design on 200CX allows attachment and detachment in only about three minutes, without tools". Now, below I have copied/pasted Deere Intranet numbers to show the wide range in loader "capabilities". To me, the numbers don't make sense; for instance, these number suggest the new 2305 with 200CX loader lifts 1.26 times more when compared to the 2210 with similar 200CX loader (712/561=1.26), I don't buy that. If the later statement were true, they would be marketing the heck out of that fact alone. Also, look at the small difference between the 2305, 200CX loader vs 790 with 300 loader. This would imply the 790 only picks up ~30lbs more than the 2305???
2305 with 200CX loader To max. height at pivot pin (712 lb.)
2210 with 200CX loader To max. height at pivot pin (561 lb.)
2520 with 200CX loader To max. height at pivot pin (U) (902 lb.)
4110 with 200CX loader To max. height at pivot pin (798.6 lb.)
2210 with 210 loader To max. height at pivot pin (622 lb.)
790 with 300 loader To max. height at pivot pin (740 lb.) ....
